Who played bass on Black Market?
The back cover photo shows Pastorius, Chester Thompson, and Alex Acuna with the band, although bass player Alphonso Johnson played on the majority of the record's tracks.

Why did Manolo Badrena leave the Weather Report?
During August 1978 the band joined Maurice White's vanity label ARC at Columbia. At the time they were once again without either a full-time drummer and percussionist, with Alex Acuna having returned to Las Vegas for a career as a studio musician and Manolo Badrena having been fired for "non-musical reasons".
